Support of all races for BN increased in Kimanis polls - Bung

KIMANIS POLLS | The Kimanis poll saw an increase in support from all races for BN, said Sabah BN chairperson Bung Moktar Radin.
"Yes, (the support of all races has increased). Be that of the Chinese, Kadazan, Dusun, Sungai, Murut, Bajau and Brunei [...]" he told the media at Beaufort after BN officially won the Kimanis by-election tonight.
He said this was the outcome of all the opposition parties coming together as a team for the by-election.
"We will cooperate with the local (opposition) parties to face the 15th general election," he said.

He added that Warisan lost because of its failure to develop Sabah.
Besides that, he said Warisan's defeat showed that the people objected to the implementation of the Sabah Temporary Pass (PSS) initiative which will be rolled out in June.
"The PSS needs to be aborted as soon as possible," said Bung.
The PSS issue, an initiative to streamline documentation for migrants in the state, was aggressively harped on by Umno in the Kimanis campaign amidst claims it would grant foreigners citizenship.
BN chairperson and Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (above) said that BN would continue to fight for the people in Sabah and would continue to reject the PSS plan.
He reiterated that BN would implement the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) if it reclaimed Putrajaya and Sabah.
For this reason, Zahid said Sabah BN would come out with a new manifesto.
In the Kimanis by-election today, BN's Mohamad Alamin defeated his Warisan opponent Karim Bujang by a 2,029-vote majority. - Mkini
