WILL DAP LEAVE FOR FAILING THE INDIANS (and Malays)? By Norman Fernandez

Nga Kor Ming only fortifies the long held view and public perception that DAP is and looks after only the interest of the Chinese. Much as DAP tries to deny and have been working very hard to dispel the entrenched perception, comes Nga Kor Ming to throw a spanner in the works.

How else can you interpret that the perception is not wrong, when DAP’s Deputy Secretary-General, Nga Kor Ming threatens that DAP will quit the Pakatan Harapan government if the government do not recognise the UEC Examination. Fancy that ! A partner in the governing coalition threatening its own government.

Rightfully,  the Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir should take up the challenge and simply say “Silakan”.

Maybe, Nga Kor Ming was playing to the Chinese crowd, and also to keep himself (and DAP) relevant in the Chinese community. Afterall, with his fiery oratory skills peppered with jokes and snide remarks, he has alway been the “star performer” in DAP ceramahs, next to the ever crude Superman Hew. In fact, Nga Kor Ming has even outshone Lim Kit Siang who is now a pale shadow of himself and on stage simply rambles repetitiously like a broken record.

Anyway, the question now is, would all the Indian and Malay DAP elected law-makers and even Senators confirm that they are united with Nga Kor Ming and they too will also leave en-bloc (with Nga Kor Ming)  should the government not recognise the UEC examination?

Granted that recognition of the UEC examination was one of Pakatan Harapan’s promises at least to the Chinese, but there are also equally many promises not fulfilled which transcends all races. So, how about quitting the government because of all the failed promises, and believe me there is a long list.

DAP must realise that it was not just the Chinese who voted DAP but the Indians and Malays also contributed to DAP’s victory. Thus, such a statement by Nga Kor Ming, insults and make fools of the Indians and Malays.

Now, let us hear from DAP’s elected Non-Chinese law-makers. Kulasegaran, you there? Will you stay put or also leave? By the way, will you next incite DAP to leave the government, because Pakatan Harapan have failed their promises made to the Indians.

By the way, DAP must remember that the Indian and Malay votes matter, come next election.

Just a piece of  advice to the DAP (and their law-makers) - Drag your brains back inside your cranium. Do not leave it inside the derrière.

My comments :  I don't have any comments other than to say that Norman Fernandez used to be Deputy DAP Chairman for Johor.
