Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin today denied rumours that he was undergoing medical treatment in Singapore.
"I wish to say that this is not true at all. For your information, I am currently undergoing quarantine at my home in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur," he said in a statement.
Muhyiddin had been placed under 14-day quarantine last Friday, after a post-cabinet meeting he was at was also attended by Auditor-General Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid who later tested positive for Covid-19.
In 2018 he had undergone surgery in Singapore to treat pancreatic cancer.
In his statement, Muhyiddin said he will continue working on a strategy against Covid-19 despite being quarantined.
Muhyiddin had addressed speculation about his health last month during an interview with RTM and Astro Awani.
"Many people have reminded me to be extra careful as my immune system might not be as good as others.
"Alhamdulillah (thank God), I am still able to do my job and I'm not affected by that," he had said. - Mkini
