ALOR SETAR: Kedah's new Mentri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor officially clocked in for his first day of work at 8.36am Monday (May 18) in Block A of Wisma Darul Aman.
He had arrived at the Kedah Mentri Besar's office at 8.30am, where he was welcomed by principle private secretary Datuk Armishah Siraj and his deputy Ahmad Emir Rastan Badderudin.
After clocking in, Sanusi met with various department heads and employees.
Sanusi, 46, is Jeneri assemblyman and Kedah PAS deputy commissioner.
He was sworn in as the 14th Mentri Besar of Kedah by Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah at 3.05pm Sunday (May 17).
Sanusi was appointed Mentri Besar after Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, 56, of Pakatan Harapan stepped down earlier Sunday after conceding that he had lost majority support among assemblymen.
Earlier, Sanusi had said that he would appoint a new state exco line-up as soon as possible. - Star
