The early voting process at 85 polling centres with 111 polling streams is expected to take place until 5pm.

Mancha said the police had issued a total of six compound notices, worth RM31,000, to those violating the standard operating procedures set for the state election.

He added that 39 investigation papers have been opened by the police from Nov 30 until yesterday, while a total of 1,837 applications for police permits have been received and approved by candidates and parties contesting statewide.
