The National Heart Institute (IJN) says it is conducting further investigations on former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
In a brief statement, it said the investigations will be completed in a few days, and that Mahathir will remain in IJN in the meantime.
The medical facility said that no visitors are allowed to visit the nonagenarian.
Mahathir was warded into IJN last night for a full medical check-up.
The 96-year-old Langkawi MP previously suffered a heart attack in 1989 and two more in 2006.
All his heart treatments and subsequent chest infections have been treated at the IJN. - Mkini
