Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) today.
The institute said Mahathir arrived at 7pm today but did not state the reason for the visit.
“He shall be undergoing a full medical check-up and further observation. (Mahathir) is expected to be in IJN for the next few days,” it said in a statement today.
The 96-year-old Langkawi MP previously suffered a heart attack in 1989 and two more in 2006.
All his heart treatments and subsequent chest infections have been treated at the IJN. - Mkini
