US Reduces Tariffs On Chinese Imports, India Increases Chinese Imports By 45% And other Weird News.

 First lets listen to this Indian expert (video is less than two minutes).  He is a well regarded speaker on Indian media. He agrees with Chinese President Xi Xinping's recent speech that the recent spate of trade sanctions imposed by the UK and the US on Russia, China etc is causing great harm to the West itself. 

Europe and the US are suffering more from their own trade sanctions against Russia and China.

The UK (I always say UK first because they are the real culprits) and the US are inflicting tremendous hardship on the entire world through their really foolish economic sanctions on Russia (because of Ukraine so they say) and their sanctions on China (which have been going on for much longer.)

As a result of these foolish sanctions all of Europe and the United States are now facing high price inflation for everything and they are facing physical shortages of oil, gas and basic foods.

Let me tell you folks that this whole charade is just fake. Someone is making big money.

Despite the so called sanctions, Russian oil and gas is still being delivered  to Europe and the US via third countries and through the Nordstream 1 gas pipeline that is still pumping gas into Europe. So all this talk about sanctions is just bullshit.

Russian oil is being refined in India and the Middle East (by UK and US owned refiners as well)   and being reshipped to the US and Europe. At much higher profits.

And now, the US has publicly announced that they will be reducing import duties on Chinese goods to help lower the prices of consumer goods in the US.

 

This is not just hypocrisy but stupidity.  First you threaten sanctions, higher import tariffs bla bla against China. Then when prices of goods in the US start going sky high they flip flop. Now they want to cut import taxes on Chinese goods.

The Indians are another bunch of dunggus.  So far India has been toeing the Western line about sanctions and tariffs against China. But few people realise that India does not manufacture even one computer chip. India imports over US$21 Billion worth of computer chips per year of which 1/3 or over US$7 Billion comes from China. 

And here is something really "sick". In twelve months over 2021 - 2022 Indian imports from China increased by 45% from US$61.6 Billion to US$92 BILLION !!

Despite the border tensions between Beijing and New Delhi, exports from China to India rose by 45.51% in 2021-’22, data from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed. Notably, India’s exports to China grew by 0.61% in the same period.

Chinese exports to India jumped to Rs 7.02 trillion as against Rs 4.82 trillion in 2020-’21, the commerce ministry said.

The biggest imports from China includes iron and steel commodities, fertilisers, oil seeds, silk, among other items. 

So all this stupidity about border tensions between India and China is just the politicians playing dirty politics to attract votes.  

The reality on the ground is that both the Indian people and the Chinese people enjoy robust trade relationships for their mutual benefit.

I think even the Indians wear made in China underwear.

So that is just some update on the hypocrisy that is floating around. 

Folks, do not get fooled by what you hear on the news. There is plenty bullshit going around. Keep an open mind and be objective when you hear the news.
