PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested five people over the case of nearly 400 prospective haj pilgrims ending up stranded at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Thursday.
Wangsa Maju district police chief Ashari Abu Samah said five suspects were arrested last night, with one of them being the owner of a travel agency.
“We arrested two men and three women. They include the owner of a travel agency, an agent and two employees,” he told FMT.
Yesterday, the police were reported to have said that at least 22 reports were received from the affected pilgrims or their relatives over the case.
