PETALING JAYA: A 37-year-old lorry driver has died in a freak accident in Marang, Terengganu, when he was crushed by his own vehicle after being flung out of it.
Nasaruddin Nasir was driving downhill from a construction site for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project in Marang when he lost control of the vehicle and plunged down a three-metre-deep gully, Berita Harian reported.
Nasaruddin was thrown out of the lorry and was crushed by it. He died at the scene at about 12.50pm.
Marang police chief Zain Mat Dris, confirming the accident, said Nasaruddin’s body had been taken to hospital for an autopsy. - FMT
