The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) reportedly raided the former Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin’s service centre yesterday.
According to Free Malaysia Today, this is because the service centre allegedly did not receive approval from the council.
“The service centre’s manager cooperated with MPAJ and agreed to hand the building over for us to manage,” an MPAJ spokesperson reportedly told the news portal.
Zuraida held the Ampang seat for three terms since 2008, until she was defeated by PKR’s Rodziah Ismail during last month’s election.
The portal also quoted Zuraida confirming the raid, adding that the centre has been operating for nine years. - Mkini
