Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli said he will speak as the PKR deputy president after office hours.
He said this was necessary because as a cabinet minister, he was being paid by the taxpayers to work on national issues.
"My priority is to streamline policies and implement projects that will have a big impact on the rakyat.
"Outside of working hours, I will deal with Perikatan Nasional and PAS. I will respond to issues that they are raising.
"They think that being the opposition only means playing up hate. They forget that the opposition needs to work on policy, monitor implementation and raise issues faced by the rakyat," wrote Rafizi (above) on his Facebook page.
Rafizi assured supporters that he will be speaking about the ruling coalitions' plans for the upcoming six state elections.
He will also be spreading political material to "break the sentiment of hate".
Rafizi promised that he will not abuse government resources for his campaigning purposes.
"Our hours which are paid for by the rakyat a responsibility to the country and cannot be used for political work.
"Our own time - nights, weekends and others - is our time for campaigning which cannot be conflated with ministerial work," he said. - Mkini
