Defend yourself in court, Fahmi tells Muhyiddin

 

Fahmi Fadzil said Muhyiddin Yassin was creating the wrong perception that the charges brought against him were politically motivated.

JOHOR BAHRU: Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin should defend himself in court instead of giving a speech in public and claiming that the charges against him were politically motivated.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) communications director Fahmi Fadzil said Muhyiddin was creating the wrong perception in calling the charges brought against him as being politically motivated.

Fahmi said all investigations and charges against Muhyiddin were based on the provisions of the law.

“The government must follow the process. The MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) and the attorney-general have stated that they are independent and there were no instructions from anyone. Their decision was based on evidence and facts before the case was taken to court,” he said.
