Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is unperturbed by his Bersatu counterpart Muhyiddin Yassin challenging the MACC to investigate him.
He said he has already faced such action, and hoped Muhyiddin will be prepared for what is to come.
"I am always open (to be investigated). I have been investigated and brought to court. I am ready anytime.
"But don't tepuk air di dulang, muka kita terpercik (slap water on the trap, and get splashed in the face)," he said, using a Malay proverb akin to "those who play with fire get burned".
"So face what has to be faced, because I have already gone through it. I wish him (Muhyiddin) all the best," Zahid added according to Harian Metro.
The Umno president said this when met by reporters in Johor Bahru today.
Earlier today, Muhyiddin dared the MACC to go after Zahid and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, alleging that they too must have been the recipients of political donations from businesspeople.
On Friday, the Bersatu president was charged with abuse of power and money laundering involving RM232.5 million - allegedly obtained from three companies and an individual during his time as prime minister.
He and his supporters have implied that these were political donations.
Muhyiddin is slated to be slapped with more charges on Monday.
Zahid is on trial for two corruption cases, one of which involved RM31 million of funds from Yayasan Akalbudi.
He was acquitted by the High Court on his second corruption case involving the Foreign Visa System (VLN), but the prosecution is appealing the acquittal. - Mkini
