KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 — Gang violence invaded a Kuala Lumpur secondary school as a mob of 30 students — suspected to be from two schools — attacked four students within their school grounds today.
A victim suffered head injuries while another broke his right hand, the other two students had serious body injuries which occurred as they were leaving school at 1.15pm.
The assailants had iron rods, batons and helmets, all believed to be 17-year-olds, Bernama Online reported.
All four were sent to Kuala Lumpur General Hospital for treatment,
One suspect was detained by police when they arrived to quell the incident. Since then the school’s disciplinary teacher lodged a report at Dang Wangi Police Headquarters and informed the victim’s parents.
Police are looking for the assailants and they are confident of apprehending them soon.
