Anwar Ibrahim is certain that the authorities will go after him for allegedly providing "false information" on the screening of the sex video by the 'Datuk T' threesome, just to "keep me busy".
Anwar, who is in the midst of wrapping up his defence on a sodomy charge, said this when asked whether the new police investigation has been initiated in the event he is acquitted.
"Acquitted or not, they will investigate me, just to keep me busy," said Anwar, the PKR de facto leader.
"I won't be surprised if they come up with a new charge."
A probe against Anwar was opened after the investigating officer in the 'Datuk T' case, DSP Shanmugan Moorthy, lodged a police report that Anwar had knowingly given him false information, an offence under Section 182 of the Penal Code.
