The mother of Daniyar Nazarbayev, who is Prime Minister Najib Razak’s future son-in-law, has denied allegations against her son, dismissing them as “absurd” and a political manipulation.
“My husband and I are unaware of who is actually behind these absurd claims and accusations.
“This is a private family matter which has been manipulated and exploited by parties with political interests,” Maira Nazarbayev was reported saying in a statement through her public relations spokesperson.

Nazarbayev denied that allegations, that her son had swindled his stepfather Bolat Nazarbayev of a US$20 million (RM62 million) condominium unit, as “completely untrue” and completely unsubstantiated.
“My husband Bolat and I remain committed to our children, and will resolve this matter privately. We are proud of all our children.
“I have a pre-planned family vacation in Europe over the next few weeks and will spend this quiet time with my family and loved ones,” said Nazarbayev.
