Full video of Pakatan MPs being enticed out soon

One of the 'Umno agents' is a former Kita member, alleges PAS' Khalid Samad, who showed an additional five minutes of the clip to the media today.
KUALA LUMPUR: PAS MP Khalid Samad said he would reveal the full video of an alleged attempt by ‘Umno agents’ to buy over Pakatan Rakyat MPs once the Parliament is dissolved.
As a teaser, Khalid showed an additonal five-minute clip showing the two agents attempting to strike a deal with a couple, said to be representatives of Pakatan MPs.
The agents claimed to have offered RM2 million to the MPs to jump ship and also offered government contracts as additional inducement.
One of the agent is said to be a former Kita leader from Kedah.
The former Kita leader is seen mentioning the name “Zahrain” in the conversation but it is not known if he was referring to Bayan Baru MP Zahrain Hashim.
Present by Khalid’s side today were PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution and Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi.
Last week, Khalid showed reporters the first part of the video of the agents involved in buying over Pakatan MPs.
The clip is said to be part of a three-hour long video and was shot in 2010 at a restaurant in Klang Valley. It is said that most of the MPs targeted were from PKR.
The Shah Alam MP said that this was clear proof that taxpayers money were used to finance dirty politics.
“We knew Umno was doing it all the while but had no hard evidence. Now we have something solid and we will upload the clip on YouTbe soon,” said Khalid.
Whether he would lodge a report with the MACC soon, Khalid said he would look into the matter
Saifuddin, on the other hand, said that it would an exercise in futility to report the matter to MACC claiming the latter would take no action.
“We reported a case to MACC of a former menteri besar trying ot buy over one of our state assemblyman but no action was taken,” he said.
Since most targeted were from PKR, Saifuddin said the party had set up a comprehensive vetting system to ensure they field credible candidates in the general election.
“We’ve learnt our lesson and we are better prepared but as always there is not guarantee,” he said.
Meanwhile, Zahrain said he had no knowledge of the meeting and said he never received any monetary reward when he left PKR in 2010.
“All I know is Pakatan is enticing BN MPs to join them, not otherwise,” he said.
