An aide to Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Ahmad Maslan returned home from Malacca on Tuesday to find his home splattered with red paint.
"I was away in Malacca since Friday (last week) with my family attending a course.
"I received a text message from my neighbour at 8am on Tuesday that my house was splattered with paint," related the officer, Ab Halim Tuah Rahmat, at a press conference this morning.
"But I only opened the message at 4pm. When I arrived home, I found my house splattered with red paint and I immediately lodged a police report."
According to Ab Halim, the paint was thrown at his front door as well as the side of his Wangsa Maju townhouse, which also splattered on his neighbour’s wall.

Ab Halim, who is also an Umno Malaysia information officer, suspects that the incident is connected to two police reports he lodged earlier.
He related how prior to the paint-splashing incident, he had had a run-in with the committee members of the An-Naim surau or prayer hall in front of his house.
Ad Halim, who moved to the housing area in November, said that he had had at least two altercations with a preacher who delivered evening sermons at the prayer hall on Nov 15 and Dec 20 related to comments made about the national leadership in the sermons.

Two police reports against preacher
As a result he had lodged the two police reports against the preacher.
“I was not often at home. When possible I will go to the surau. On Nov 15 during evening sermon, a preacher spoke about Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, his wife Rosmah Mansur and made fun of the Agong.
“On Dec 20, he came again to give evening sermon and this time he spoke about the Agong’s father. I immediately chastised him and an altercation happened between me and the surau chairperson.”
Ab Halim (left) said that the preacher is not even a real ustaz but had served in the army or police.
The father of eight children also pledged not to clean the red stains from his walls, giving seven days for the perpetrator(s) to come forward and apologise.
Failing which, he said he and several pro-Umno NGOs will bring the matter to the Agong’s attention.
