PM Najib goes to London for Islamic economic forum
Prime Minister Najib Razak today left for a working visit to London and Manchester starting tomorrow to Oct 31 to attend the 9th World of Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF).
The special aircraft carrying Najib and wife Rosmah Mansor took off from the KL International Airport's (KLIA) Kompleks Bunga Raya here at 2.20pm.
Najib, who is also WIEF patron, is expected to deliver a keynote address during the opening and would host a luncheon and dinner for the participants of the forum.
He is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron, leaders and heads of nations and governments attending WIEF.
Sixteen heads of state and government leaders had confirmed their attendance other than 2,000 participants to the WIEF, themed 'The World Changes, New Ties'.
Prime Minister was also expected to visit Manchester to attend the 1Malaysia For Youth volunteer programme, meet Malaysians in Manchester and celebrate the 1Malaysia Deepavali, organised by the Malaysian community in London.
