Does Isma crave absolute power?

Samad Said says Isma’s fear-mongering that Malays are under threat is senseless since Malays have been in power since 1957.
ISMA A.Samad SaidPETALING JAYA: In countering the frequent fear-mongering by Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) that Malays were constantly under threat, national laureate A Samad Said questioned if the NGO was after absolute power.
According to a report in the Rakyat Post, Samad said, “What more do they (Isma) want? Absolute power to feel safe?”
Samad, who is also patron for NGO Negara-Ku, claimed Isma answered to a “certain power” and thus had motives of their own to claim that it was healthy for Malays to fear their race was under threat from “greedy forces”.
Saying the opposite was true, Samad said nothing could be unhealthier for Malays than to fear for their race.
He also reasoned that there was no basis for this claim as Malays had been in power since the country achieved independence.
Samad said this in reference to a statement by Isma president Abdullah Zaik Abd Rahman who claimed it was healthy for the Malay community to be reminded that their race was under threat since they were once powerful but had their land taken away from them.
