Selangor DAP chairman Tony Pua said none of the Malays who stood in the state party election won.
Pua, who received 495 votes in the election, was reappointed chairman. He said race had nothing to do with the election pattern of the Chinese majority party.
"Our Malay members are new. It could be because the members were not familiar with them.
"But we will make sure that these people will go out and meet the grassroots so the members will become more aware of our Malay members," he said.
