Fan club praises Najib as 'rare politician', thanks Rosmah for making him 'great'

It has been 40 years since Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak first involved himself in politics and his achievements was extolled by his supporters to the high heavens tonight.

In a thanksgiving ceremony for his 40 years of involvement in politics, Kelab Sahabat Najib Razak (N87) chairperson Suleiman Mohamad first thanked Najib’s wife Rosmah Mansor for being an “excellent number one lady”.

“You have taken good care of him, you have made him great,” said Suleiman at the event held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) today organised by his club.

As for Najib, Suleiman said the premier was simply a “rare politician” and qualified as a “great statesman”.

Reality for Najib, however, is “brutal and merciless”, said Suleiman.

If they do not jump ship, vocal supporters may become adversaries, he added.

Any move to topple Najib is an effort to destroy Umno

And because of this, Suleiman stressed how counter-action is needed and “needed immediately”.

“We are retired soldiers but we are not tired soldiers; we are fighters of Umno.

“As long as we are still alive, we will continue fighting because Umno is the soul of the race.

“If this soul dies, the Malays and Islam will disappear," he said.

Therefore, the struggle to defend Umno and Najib will continue to be strengthened, pledged Suleiman.

Any effort to topple the number one leader in Umno is an effort to destroy Umno, he stressed.

"It's the responsibility of every Umno member to fight these elements whether they come from within Umno or otherwise.

"To Najib, we, N87, urge you to continue your struggle. We have been with you, are still with you and will together be with you," said Suleiman to applause from the 1,000 attendees tonight. -Mkini
