Judge Sazlina Safie allowed Fatimah Abdullah to change her plea, and fixed April 11 for the next mention, pending the forensic report.
KUALA LUMPUR: A woman who was previously charged at the Kuala Pilah Sessions Court with allegedly slicing her foreign husband’s manhood, and pleaded guilty, has changed her plea to not guilty.
Her lawyer J. Gunamalar said that previously Fatimah Abdullah, who was unrepresented, was not given advice on legal representation and its’ consequences. “We (lawyers) met her after she was charged, and have written to the court and prosecution on changing her plea.”
She added that Judge Sazlina Safie allowed Fatimah to change her plea, and fixed April 11 for the next mention, pending the forensic report.
On January 29, Fatimah was charged with severing her Pakistani husband Umar Rahman’s penis at their home in Bukit Kikir, Negeri Sembilan.
She faced a charge under section 326 of the Penal Code for allegedly causing grievous hurt with a weapon.
