The International Trade and Industry Ministry and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) today denied the photo of Prime Minister Najib Razak was removed from the Malaysia Pavilion at Expo Milano in Italy last year.
In a joint statement today, the ministry and Matrade said the photo removal as claimed by former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin in a video published online recently had never taken place.
"We regret the attempt to undermine the professionalism and competence of officials involved in the management of the expo," they added.
