KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia remains safe despite the spate of attacks in several cities, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (pic) said.
The Prime Minister assured Malaysians that the security forces, especially the police and Armed Forces, "are on top of things".
In his Twitter posting, he said the "shocking attack" on peaceful worshippers at a mosque in Zurich was "a reminder that violence does not discriminate".
The attack at an Islamic centre in the Swiss city on Monday, by an unknown assailant, left three people injured, two of them seriously.
In another posting, Najib condemned "in the strongest terms" the assassination of Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov in Ankara, Turkey on Monday.
Earlier, Najib expressed his sympathies to the families of the 12 people killed and 48 injured in the attack in Berlin, Germany, on Monday.
"Deepest sympathies to all those affected by the attack in Berlin. Appalling loss of innocent lives in what should be a time of celebration," he said. - Bernama
