Pack up and leave, PKR Youth tells North Korea

PKR Youth wants the North Korean embassy in Kuala Lumpur to "pack up and leave" following its remarks against the Malaysian police.
The party's national deputy youth chief Afif Bahardin also urged the federal government and Wisma Putra to shut down the Malaysian consulate in North Korea.
"North Korea's remarks are rude, overboard and an insult to the police and country's sovereignty.
"Such remarks should not come from a country that has diplomatic ties with Malaysia," said Afif, who is also Seberang Jaya assemblyperson, to Malaysiakini.
This was in reference to North Korea's ambassador to Malaysia Kang Chol's accusation of alleged interference in police investigation in the murder of Kim Jong-nam, the older half-brother of North Korea's ruler Kim Jong-un, at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2(KLIA2) on Feb 13.
"Withdraw your remarks and refrain from interfering in police investigation into Kim's death.
"The investigation should be carried out in a fair and just manner," Afif stressed.
Jong-Nam's death has created a diplomatic friction between Malaysia and North Korea.
Pyongyang has said the responsibility for Jong-Nam's death rests on Malaysia as he had died here.
The North Korean authorities have also charged that they do not trust the probe by Malaysian police, and have demanded the release of the two female suspects, and one of their citizens, caught in connection with the murder.

Foreign Minister Anifah Aman have dismissed the North Korean ambassador's remarks as "lies and half-truths".
Umno Youth will also organise a protest outside the North Korean embassy this evening - one their PKR counterpart would not be joining.
"We are planning similar actions, but we will do it with Pakatan Harapan's allies," Afif said. - Mkini
