Penang-born Vanessa Yeap had complained of feeling unwell, says colleague.
PETALING JAYA: A Singapore Airlines (SIA) stewardess was found dead in her hotel room in San Francisco by colleagues on Tuesday, reports The Straits Times.
Vanessa Yeap, believed to be in her late 30s or early 40s, from Penang, was found dead by SIA cabin crew members when she did not show up at the lobby for check-out late Tuesday night.
Her colleagues tried to resuscitate her but failed, said a cabin crew member who wished to remain anonymous.
The source said Yeap had complained of feeling unwell when she landed in San Francisco, believed to be about two days before Tuesday.
Yeap was due to fly back on the return flight to Singapore, with a stopover in Hong Kong, at 1am Wednesday.
She is believed to have been with the airline for 15 to 20 years.
She was single but planning to get married.
Her brother will claim the body in San Francisco. -FMT
