SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said the three PAS exco members in Selangor will remain in the state administration.
“The congress today instead focused on GE14 and we heard members using this forum to give their views to their leaders.”
He was speaking after the three-day PKR 12th Congress at Dewan Raja Muda Musa here today.
The PKR deputy president said this when asked by reporters on the updates on the three PAS excos.
The three exco members are Iskandar Abdul Samad, Zaidy Abdul Talib and Ahmad Yunus Hairi.
Their positions in the Selangor state administration came under the spotlight after PAS decided to end all ties with PKR earlier this month.
Despite its decision, the party has stubbornly clung on to posts in the Selangor government, which is led by PKR and DAP.
Following PAS’ decision to cut links, PKR has instructed all its members holding any positions, such as local councillors and penghulus, in the PAS-ruled Kelantan state government to quit.
When further asked by reporters on what the party will do about the three PAS excos, Azmin, who has just returned from overseas after a working visit, said the leadership will discuss further the issue.
However, he did not state when this meeting will be held.
He added the PKR leadership will “keep the door open” for PAS. -FMT
