It wasn't me, says Sarawak Report editor of 'harassment' claim

Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown has denied a minister's accusations that her website had been stalking or harassing Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's wife Rosmah Mansor.
"Nothing to do with me. (Communications and Multimedia Minister) Salleh (Said Keruak) can see on the internet what I look like  - or do all foreign women look the same to Salleh?" she asked in an email to Malaysiakini
Rewcastle-Brown was responding to Salleh, who last night accused Sarawak Report of shouting "slanderous allegations" at Rosmah - who is currently in London.
Salleh had in a blog posting, claimed the website had demonstrated an "absolute lack of decorum and manners, by harassing Rosmah.
It is unclear what exactly had transpired, but Salleh's posting coincided with a YouTube video uploaded by blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin titled "Sarawak Report stalks and harasses Rosmah Mansor in London, 8th May 2017".
The video shows three individuals standing outside a compound in what appears to be London.
One of the individuals, a man, is heard telling the person recording the video that they should not have come to London if they did not want to be photographed.
"I believe this is to do with a documentary film crew doing something about 1MDB, but can't be sure as Rosmah is a bit notorious these days and it could be anybody," Rewcastle-Brown said when asked about the individuals in the video.
She added that Raja Petra should not be treated as a reliable source, especially when it concerns Rosmah.
Rosmah arrived in UK with 32 Permata students and six teachers last Thursday and will be there until Wednesday.
Meanwhile, DAP's Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching slammed Salleh for criticising the alleged harassment of Rosmah but keeping mum when Bersih 2.0 chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah was harassed by Gerakan Merah leader Mohd Ali Baharom, better known as Ali Tinju.
"So I want to ask Salleh, does he think that decorum and manners is reserved only for their own kind? Only Rosmah and her kind have the right to demand decorum and manners from others, but ordinary people like Maria Chin do not?," she said, adding that what the Bersih chairperson went through by being on the receiving end of Ali's "death threat" was far worse than what Salleh alleged Rosmah had experienced in London.
Ali Tinju had in September last year, said that Maria "tidak akan berjalan di atas bumi"(Maria will no longer walk on this earth), but the case was classified NFA (no further action) by the public prosecutor.

Teo said the UK police would surely take action against the Sarawak Report team had posed any physical threat on Rosmah.
"If Salleh thinks that people from all walks of life should be treated with decorum and respect, I would like to him to join me in urging the Public Prosector to reconsider the case against Ali Tinju.
"Otherwise, Salleh is not as civilised as he thought he is, but merely a Rosmah loyalist," said Teo, who is also DAP Assistant National Publicity Secretary, in a statement. - Mkini
