Former Johor state executive councillor Abd Latif Bandi, who was slapped with 33 counts of bribery charges involving land costing more than RM30 million, was brought to the Sessions Court in Johor Baru today, reported Berita Harian.
His son Ahmad Fauzan Hatim and property consultant Amir Shariffuddin Abd Rauf were also with him.
They are expected to be charged under Section 32(8)(c) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (Amla).
It was reported that MACC began its probe into the state's conversion of hundreds of bumiputera land titles in exchange for kickbacks, back in 2013.
