Minister claims opposition recycling Rosmah stories to divert attention

Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak has hit out at the opposition for relaunching its campaign against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's wife, Rosmah Mansor.
According to him, this is being done to divert attention from the issues plaguing the opposition.
"The opposition is circulating fabricated stories not supported by any evidence alleging all sorts of things regarding Rosmah.
"In fact, many of these stories have already been proven false when they first came out years ago. So, again, Malaysia is being feasted with an orgy of lies," he said in a blog posting today.
It is unclear, however, whom in particular the minister was referring to.
Salleh claimed the opposition is hoping that Malaysians would focus on the "old stories" brought back regarding Rosmah's shopping habits instead of noticing the "confusion" about who Harapan's prime minister-in-waiting was.
"Harapan is at the most critical stage of its very short life and if it cannot resolve this matter Harapan is going to disintegrate just like Pakatan Rakyat did not too long ago," he said.
He further claimed the opposition was hoping for a new distraction as the 1MDB issue was a "failed strategy".

"So now Malaysians are again being fed doses of lies regarding Rosmah," he said.
Salleh, however, wanted to know whether Harapan had resolved its problems or otherwise.
"They cannot even resolve just one issue, who their leader is and they are hoping if Malaysians start talking about Rosmah the problems plaguing the opposition can be swept under the carpet," he said.- Mkini
