What do all MO1 appointees have in common?

YOURSAY | ‘Pandikar is wasting his breath defending the indefensible.’
Trueglitter: Pandikar Amin Mulia, it is exceedingly regrettable the general public needs to remind you that holding the high office of Parliament speaker also carries a very heavy responsibility and duty of dignity which, without question, are the invaluable prerequisites expected of you.
Regrettably, our once proud legislative system has been under the international spotlight for all the wrong reasons, which confirms the widely-held belief that it does not deserve to be further stigmatised or be made a laughing stock in the eyes of the international community by having an arrogant cum apparently biased speaker in the House.
Clearly, the intangible dignity and respect that you now have the privilege to enjoy, has to be earned through demonstration of your professional integrity and expected capability and not via making a mockery of yourself and the Parliament through your moronic antics or through threats of imprisonments against journalists who have been righteous with their journalism.
Vijay47: So, Mr Speaker, with your foray into humour, you want us to believe that you are really a nice guy. Misunderstood perhaps, but still a nice guy.
You have achieved half your aim - you being in the same company as ministers Salleh Said Keruak and Abdul Rahman Dahlan, we need no convincing that even if you are not a comedian, you are certainly a clown.
Or you could try your hand at the movies; I am sure PM Najib Razak’s son-in-law Riza Aziz would have a slot for you.
In true villain fashion, you smilingly make a threat (against journalists) while claiming it is not one. We are all aware what awaits if any Umno leader is offended, including the female of the species.
You plead that you have been wrong in rejecting certain questions on 1MDB. You call 30 questions "a few"? How many have you accepted?
In the history of Parliament, how many opposition motions have made it through? And whatever you do, don't mention the Indian parliament; your true shameful track record will pale in comparison. Not that you and Najib know what shame or contempt is.
Speaking Sense: Indeed, he is in the wrong place - the circus is next door.
Unafraid: It is so obvious that Pandikar leans favourably towards the government and very often is grossly unfair to the opposition.
Though this is expected since his position depends on the government but the blatant manner he rides roughshod over the opposition is disgusting.
It is certainly most unbecoming of a man of his position and stature. It brings shame to the high office of the chair.
Negarawan: What do all Malaysian Official 1 (MO1) appointees have in common? They have no integrity, no professionalism, incompetent, allegedly corrupt and have overinflated egos. They are of no value to the rakyat as they do not protect the country's interests.
Instead they protect the interests of MO1 and his accomplices. In a law-abiding and well-managed country, such people are not even fit to sweep the drains.
MO1 and his appointees have turned Malaysia into a failed state within a short period of time. More misfortune awaits Malaysia as long as MO1 is at the helm.
Anonymous 2251681440225523: "There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. 'Good pride' represents our dignity and self-respect. 'Bad pride' is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance" - John C.Maxwell.
And Pandikar, you belong to the second category.
“Whoever blushes is already guilty; true innocence is ashamed of nothing,” - Jeans Jacques Rousseau.
And some wise words for Pandikar from Dwight D Eisenhower. He said, "A people that values its privileges above its principle soon loses both.”
House speaker: Parliament is best place to discuss 1MDB, but...

Aries46: Pandikar is wasting his breath defending the indefensible. He is known as a powerless puppet, a mere stooge known to protect Umno/BN from its scandals being raised by the opposition.
This is not the first time he has ruled against 1MDB matters and neither will it be his last. He even had a hand in preventing the 1MDB debate between Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua and 1MDB chief Arul Kanda with threats to dismiss Pua from Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
Recently, he allowed the most manipulated PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's private member’s bill to supersede government businesses but on the 1MDB review, he claims government business takes precedence.
Why should the US Department of Justice (DOJ) filing be sub judice here in our parliament when the attorney-general (AG) has ruled 1MDB as above board and also cleared Najib of wrongdoings?
More so, that none of those, like MO1, implicated in the DOJ charges have challenged the shocking accusations levelled at them.
Pandikar is by now an old hand at spinning the standing orders for Umno/BN benefit and it is best he refrain from justifying these as if Malaysians are idiots.
Pemerhati: Pandikar said, "If the questions are accusations, assumptions, offensive, or made up, of course, I will throw it out."
If the country’s top law officer, AG Mohamed Apandi Ali, could accept Najib’s explanation that he got a donation from some Arab/s and later returned a portion of that donation despite overwhelming proof to the contrary provided by the DOJ that it was money stolen from 1MDB, it is to be expected that Pandikar would protect Najib by disallowing any question on 1MDB that Najib does not like by falsely claiming that the question is an “accusation, assumption, offensive or made-up”.
Wira: Obviously, Pandikar is a partisan speaker. Indeed, if the US court does not have jurisdiction in Malaysia, how can discussing a case pending in a US court here be sub judice in this country?
