Kit Siang brands Abdul Rahman an asset...

Lim Kit Siang has branded Minister in the Prime Minister's Department and BN strategic communications director Abdul Rahman Dahlan as an asset.
However, he claimed that the Sabah politician is a boon for Pakatan Harapan and a bane for the ruling coalition.
The DAP veteran also posed a question to the minister over the latter's recent remarks - “Abdul Rahman – have you gone bonkers? Why are you scoring your own goal?”
He was responding to the BN leader, who over the weekend, issued a media statement calling on the DAP leader to resign from politics.

Describing Lim (photo) as desperate, Abdul Rahman accused him of lacking the confidence to take on Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and BN on his own and is, therefore, using Dr Mahathir Mohamad to achieve this objective.
He also claimed Lim had discarded his principles and is now without shame, promoting Mahathir as the country's saviour despite attacking him for 22 years when he was prime minister.
He also labelled the Gelang Patah MP as a colossal liability to Harapan and claimed that the latter appeared to have lost the plot.
Commenting on these accusations, Lim said he found something amiss in Abdul Rahman's sense of judgement and priorities.

“Far from Umno/BN's perspective, these are the very reasons why I should remain in my position, as I, such a useless decrepit old man, whose word and deed is a great service to Umno/BN.

“Why then is Abdul Rahman so keen that I retire from politics when he should be praying that I will remain so that I can continue to be such a disastrous impact on DAP and Harapan which can only immensely benefit the Umno/BN?” he added.
However, Lim said he does not wish for Abdul Rahman to quit politics.
“For my part, I want Abdul Rahman to remain as BN strategic communications director for he is such a boon to Harapan and such a bane to Umno/BN,” he added.- Mkini
