The Kelantan state government has confirmed the validity of a circular regarding a ban against Amanah vice-president Husam Musa and Kelantan Amanah chief Wan Abd Rahim Wan Abdullah from entering state government offices as well as state palaces.
State secretary Nazran Muhammad confirmed that the circular was issued on May 27, following instructions by the palace.
"I don't know the reasons behind it. The palace did not give reasons and I only acted based on orders," he said, when contacted by Malaysiakini today.
The circular, signed by Nazran, has been spreading on social media since yesterday.
However, both Husam and Wan Abd Rahim are keeping mum on the matter.
The circular states that Husam and Wan Abd Rahim are barred from entering the state government complex as well as all state government offices.
They are also barred from entering six palaces, namely, the Istana Negeri, Istana Balai Besar, Istana Telipot, Istana Kota Lama, Istana Tumpat and Istana Persinggahan Gua Musang.
Meanwhile, Nazran said Husam and Wan Abd Rahim were not the only ones to have received such bans.
"Many have been barred before. But I can't recall the number," he said. -Mkini
