Outgoing PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali has yet to decide which post he will contest at the upcoming party polls in August.
"At some point, I will make a decision, before the polls.
"For now, I want to focus on Parliament issues. That should be the priority as this is our first session," he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
He was responding to a question on whether he will run for PKR president or defend his post as deputy president.
"Not yet. I will announce it (my decision) later," he said when the question was repeated.
When pressed further, he jokingly asked the reporters, "What do you suggest?"
Azmin's response comes in light of PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim saying that he will contest the post of party president at the upcoming party elections.
Outgoing party president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has said she will step aside for her husband should he decide to contest the presidency.
However, outgoing PKR Women chief Zuraida Kamaruddin has urged the party against preventing any member from challenging any party post, including the presidency.
The PKR polls are scheduled to be held by end of August while nominations will be on July 29. - Mkini
