PUTRAJAYA: The anti-graft agency is still not done with Riza Aziz, after a second marathon session lasting six hours.
The stepson of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will have to return today to face further grilling at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters.
“We have asked him to come back at 10.30am,” a source told The Star.
Riza, 48, came in at 3.05pm for a second round of questioning at the MACC headquarters. The session ended at 9pm.
.He was called for the first time on Tuesday, when he was questioned for nine hours.
Clad in a dark suit and chequered shirt, Riza arrived yesterday accompanied by his lawyer Datuk K. Kumaraendran.
Hours earlier, Najib was charged in court with committing three counts of criminal breach of trust and one count of using his position for gratification.
Riza is the co-founder of Red Granite Pictures which, among others, produced the film The Wolf of Wall Street.
It is alleged that his company had used funds belonging to 1MDB to make Hollywood films.
He is one of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor’s two children from a previous marriage.- Star
