AMANAH BLOW FOR MAHATHIR: MAKE SURE HE PASSES THE PM’S POST TO ANWAR BY MAY NEXT YEAR – AMANAH DELEGATES ALSO TICK OFF BERSATU FOR TRYING TO BE ‘BIG BOSS’ IN PAKATAN – AMANAH SPEAKS UP

A CERTAIN party is already attempting to be the big boss in Pakatan Harapan, thus breaching one of the ruling coalition’s core principles which is equality between component partners.
This allegation was made by Nor Khalim Sakib, a delegate from Johor at Amanah’s national convention in Shah Alam today when debating the president’s speech.
However, he did not name the party.
Nor Khalim said this attitude was apparent in the recent Tg Piai by-election.
“These types of negative elements are already starting to be seen in Pakatan Harapan and in the Tg Piai by-election,” said Nor Khalim who is from the party’s Tg Piai division.
“We hope that the leadership take action against this so that there is no such thing as a big boss in Pakatan. Because we don’t want a situation where there is a big boss and small parties that get stepped on.”
PH suffered a crushing loss in the by-election when it lost to opposition coalition Barisan Nasional by more than 15,000 votes.
In the 14th general election, PH won the seat by a slender 500-odd votes.
PH has consistently said its four parties are equal to each other in stature unlike the BN alliance where Umno is the kingpin.
Besides Amanah, the other parties in PH are PKR, Bersatu and DAP.
Nor Khalim also urged Amanah’s leadership to ensure that the succession plan between Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim is carried out.
“The promise is for that the succession plan to be carried out in two years after the 14th general election,” he said.
“We want the leadership to ensure that the time frame for the plan is adhered to and that it is carried out harmoniously and without any conflict.”
