At final day of PKR congress, Azmin & Co missing

PKR AGM | PKR deputy president Azmin Ali and some of his allied central leadership council members are absent at the final day of the PKR congress.
However, most of the seats were filled by about 10.30am. For the quorum to be met, a third of the registered delegates have to be present.

Among the notable absentees are PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin and Women's wing chief Haniza Talha. Also absent are central leadership council members (MPP) aligned to them.
Yesterday, Azmin and allied MPP members walked out of the congress in the afternoon in protest against the content of speeches in the morning which appeared to be taking potshots at them.
At a press conference at a separate venue yesterday, they also claimed that PKR president Anwar Ibrahim's "traitor" analogy during his opening speech had paved the way for delegates to throw barbs.
This morning, Azmin still appeared rather irate over the "traitor" analogy and wrote a tweet alluding that he has contributed to the party over the past two decades.

Top party leaders are expected to deliver their wrapping up speeches today before the congress adjourns at 2.30pm.
However, as of 10am this morning, four who are scheduled to deliver these speeches — Haniza, Zuraida, vice-president Ali Biju and Azmin — appear to be absent.
Interestingly, PKR vice-president Tian Chua, who was among those who left yesterday for Azmin's press conference, was spotted on stage at the congress this morning.
Chua too will is slated to deliver a closing speech.
Haniza's speech is expected to be read by Women's wing vice-chief Sangeetha Jayakumar.
At the time of writing, Haniza's spokesperson has yet to respond to questions about her absence.
It is unsure who will represent Azmin, if at all. - Mkini
