Only guilty individuals speak of being sacked, says Saifuddin

PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin must have done something wrong and breached party discipline for her to say that she is ready to be sacked together with party deputy president Azmin Ali.
This is according to the party secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail (above) when asked about what Zuraida said at a gathering yesterday in Kuala Lumpur.
"Only individuals who feel guilty speak of being expelled, as she has broken the party discipline," he told the media at a sideline event in Kuala Lumpur today.

"(That's why) she uttered that she is ready to be sacked.
"To me, that is (pretty much) like an admission of guilt," Saifuddin added.
Asked if disciplinary action would be taken against Zuraida and Azmin, he did not give a direct answer.
"The mood of the delegates (who attended the) congress, shows that they want the leader to (observe) discipline, including to attend the meeting.
"As for Anwar's mood, he still opted reconciliation and he is ready to sit and discuss (with Azmin and gang)," he said.
Yesterday, Zuraida said Anwar attempted to convince her that a sex video featuring Azmin was real.
She also slammed Saifuddin as useless.
"If we are sacked for doing this, Azmin and I are ready. We are ready to be sacrificed," Zuraida said.
On this, Saifuddin declined to respond on the basis that he did not want to be involved in a personal attack.
When asked if PKR now perceives Azmin to be the man in the sex video, he said he did not want to delve into the matter.
In June, the then Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz admitted that the man in the sex video was Azmin, which the latter denied.
"No. We don't want to go into that. Leave it to the police," said Saifuddin.
He reminded Zuraida to attend the party's meeting and they can discuss anything there.
The PKR congress, which concluded last weekend, was marred by several incidents including a street brawl and Azmin and his supporters leaving the congress of the main body.
However, Azmin said he would not quit PKR while Anwar is still choosing reconciliation with Azmin's faction over taking action against his deputy president.   - Mkini
