Rejected despite getting first-class honours

I WORKED extremely hard to obtain a first-class honours degree. After graduation, I submitted all the relevant documents to the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), proving that
I graduated with first-class honours.
Unfortunately, my loan repayment exemption was rejected and the reason given was that I did not inform PTPTN that I had changed my course.
That was unfair as my univer- sity had informed PTPTN that I
had changed my course many times.
I called PTPTN and they told me that there was nothing I could do about it.
Disappointed, my university appealed on my behalf but they were told the decision was final.
I went to my MP’s office and they sent several letters to PTPTN. As of today, there is still no reply from PTPTN and they are following up on my case.
Under PTPTN’s policy, borrowers who obtain a Bachelor’s degree with first-class honours will be exempted from repaying their loans.
I have worked very hard and I feel like I have been robbed of the opportunity to be granted the loan repayment exemption.
Hopefully, Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik and PTPTN chairman Wan Saiful Wan Jan will look into this matter
