CORONAVIRUS | Malaysia recorded its 35th death this evening after a Health Ministry official succumbed to Covid-19.
Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah (above) said the latest death is 57-year-old patient 1,952.
She had a travel history to Indonesia.
"She had symptoms five days before she was admitted to Putrajaya Hospital on March 17 and was later transferred to Kuala Lumpur Hospital and Sungai Buloh Hospital.
"She tested positive for Covid-19 on March 18. Her health deteriorated day by day and passed away on March 29 at 4pm.
"The Health Ministry conveys its condolences to her family members," he said in a Facebook post tonight.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Adham Baba also conveyed his condolences.
"Her death is a loss to the Health Ministry," he said in a statement.
Adham said patient 1,952 was attached with the Health Ministry's human resources division.
To date, Malaysia has recorded 2,470 Covid-19 cases, with 150 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours from noon today. - Mkini
