Radio announcer Patrick Teoh is expected to be charged in a Johor court tomorrow.
He was arrested on May 9 for allegedly insulting Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and released on police bail on May 14.
Teoh (above) was quoted by The Malaysian Insight confirming that he had been informed of the charge tomorrow.
The report said Teoh declined further comment, citing advice from his lawyer.
The actor was investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act which concerns the improper use of network facilities.
Section 233 provides for a fine of up to RM50,000 or imprisonment of up to a year or both.
Teoh was accused of using profanities on Facebook on a video clip of the Johor crown prince. - Mkini
