Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali who was in the spotlight for flouting home quarantine procedures has contributed RM50,000 to his party, PAS.
The Kuala Nerus MP's contribution was disclosed during the 66th PAS Muktamar in Kota Bharu this morning.
Muktamar permanent chairperson Husin Ismail made the announcement after the party president Abdul Hadi Awang's speech.
Prior to this, Mohd Khairuddin had received negative publicity for his failure to comply with the compulsory 14-day Covid-19 mandatory quarantine order upon returning from a semi-official trip to Turkey in July.
Last month, the Health Ministry had slapped a RM1,000 compound against him for the offence. The police had also recorded his statement to facilitate its probe into the matter.
Khairuddin had since apologised and vowed to donate his ministerial salaries from March to August to the country's Covid-19 fund.
The minister also dismissed calls for his resignation over the matter, citing that he did not do anything wrong regarding his job.
"I did not do anything wrong concerning my job; it only involved an error over the issue of the SOP (standard operating procedures).
"I have my own view, but I let the police (probe). The Health Ministry had also issued a statement. For me, it's solved, although I have my own view," he had said. - Mkini
