Stop speculating, sharing video of 'bloody grave' at mosque cemetery

ALOR STAR: Religious authorities are calling on the public to stop speculating and sharing a video of a "bloody grave" at the Al Irfan Mosque cemetery here.

Kota Setar district religious officer Ahmad Faisol Omar said his office was still waiting for the outcome of the police probe into the incident and declined to comment further.

"As the district religious officer, I urge everyone to be more sensitive towards the deceased's family members by not sharing the video.

"My side cannot confirm this matter as the truth will require forensic investigation," he said.

Previously, Ahmad Faisol said he had checked the grave that had gone viral on the social media.

"But I couldn't make any confirmation regarding the red liquid at the grave, which had been covered by pile of earth. We leave this matter to the police," he said.

Kedah Mufti Datuk Syeikh Fadzil Awang said he was in the midst of getting details from sources on what actually transpired.

Last night, media reports highlighted several pictures and video showing the "bloody grave" at the mosque, which had gone viral on the social media.

The 19-second video showing the weird occurrence had rocked the local community and many turned up at the cemetery to check out the said grave.
