COVID-19 | Two workers from a pet shop chain in Selangor have been infected with Covid-19.
Petsmore Sdn Bhd said an employee at its SS2 Petaling Jaya outlet, and another one at its 1Utama Shopping Mall outlet had tested positive on Oct 19 and Oct 20 respectively.
"We have proceeded to close our Petsmore SS2 and Petsmore 1 Utama store immediately for a thorough cleaning and sanitisation exercise in accordance with procedures.
"Our stores will remain temporarily closed until further notice and will reopen with a fresh new team," the company management said in a statement today.
The other staff members from the store have tested negative for the virus, but will be undergoing home quarantine.
Yesterday, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the 1 Utama mall was clear of Covid-19.
The Utama cluster - named after the mall - is the largest active one in the Klang Valley and has spread to six generations.
The cluster has 194 cases in total as of yesterday, with 176 still in treatment. - Mkini
