Police will be investigating Federal Territories Minister Annuar Musa over an alleged breach of movement control order (MCO) standard operating procedures.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Saiful Azly Kamaruddin said a report had been lodged over a photo of the minister sitting down for a meal with six others.
"An investigation paper has been opened," Saiful Azly was quoted as saying by Free Malaysia Today.
Yesterday, Annuar was photographed seated at a table of six at an urban farm event in Kuala Lumpur, with food laid out before them.
In a Facebook post believed to be referring to the incident, the minister said he only sat down for a short time before shifting elsewhere.
"When I was at the farm, I sat down for a moment and moved because the organiser did not follow SOPs," he said.
The organisers of the urban farming event have apologised for not following SOPs.
Currently under the movement control order, dining in is allowed but limited to two persons per table.
Previously, the minister was accused of flouting the SOP when he showed a photograph of himself with two other persons on an evening walk when such outdoor activities involving more than two persons are forbidden.
Annuar claimed then that all three had walked different routes but ran into each other by coincidence. - Mkini
