A helicopter carrying five men crashed at the Subang airport today.
One victim suffered injuries including a broken leg, another had superficial injuries while three others were unhurt, according to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.
The accident is the fourth involving helicopters reported in five months.
On Nov 8, two were killed and two others injured when two helicopters crashed into each other near Taman Melawati, Selangor.
On Jan 1, two men were slightly injured after their light helicopter crashed in a vacant plot of land at the Port Klang Free Trade Zone (PKFZ) in Pulau Indah, Selangor.
Both accidents involved helicopters from My Heli Club - prompting the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) to bar the club from conducting any training flights for six months starting Jan 5.
Later on Feb 27, a police helicopter carrying six officers crashed at the 14th Battalion General Operations Force camp in Tawau, Sabah - injuring one.
Helicopter accidents have been the cause of at least two tragedies in the past, including the death of then-Rompin MP Jamaluddin Jarjis in April 2015, as well as the deaths of then-MPs Noriah Kasnon (Sungai Besar) and Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad (Kuala Kangsar) in May 2016. - Mkini
