Motorcyclist killed by falling tree in Rawang

PETALING JAYA: A motorcyclist was killed in Rawang, Selangor this evening after a tree fell and crushed him during a downpour.

The Selangor fire and rescue department said they received a call at 7.44pm on the incident which occurred along Jalan Rawang, in the direction towards Kuala Lumpur.

The fallen tree had blocked the road and the 24-year-old victim was confirmed dead by medical officers at the scene.

Firemen had to use a chainsaw to cut up the tree before removing it. - FMT
