Now, Hospital Selayang forced to use container as morgue

PETALING JAYA: Hospital Selayang is the second government hospital to have brought in a special shipping container to store bodies of those who succumbed to Covid-19, just 11 days after Sungai Buloh.

The health ministry said the container was prepared by the hospital’s forensic unit to place an additional 20 bodies as the morgue was full.

“More and more Covid-19 deaths are being reported daily, especially in the Klang Valley,” it said in a Facebook post.

Fifty-nine deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of casualties to 2,492.

Of the 59 deaths, about 23 were recorded in the Klang Valley alone. - FMT
